Holly Ward

Vice President of Communications

With a career spanning 30 years in journalism and communications, Holly Ward leads the marketing and communications efforts at the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association (AzHHA) to collaboratively communicate the organization’s advocacy efforts and program activities that enhance healthcare in Arizona. This includes informing members, lawmakers, the media and general public as well as internal stakeholders through various communications channels and efforts. She also oversees the planning and execution of the annual Arizona Hospital Leadership Conference.

Holly started her career in local television news with KPNX (Channel 12) and KPHO (Channel 5) serving as a writer and producer, before focusing on video production. After ten years in the journalism industry, she transitioned to public relations and strategic communications serving in a variety of roles in the public sector including public information officer for Maricopa County and communications director at the Arizona Department of Health Services. In 2019, Holly joined AzHHA as the marketing and communications director and was promoted to vice president of communications in 2022.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Northern Arizona University. Holly serves as a board member for the Arizona Public Health Association and also lends her expertise as a communications advisor for the Arizona Wellbeing Collaborative.
