AzHHA serves as the statewide association representing Arizona’s hospitals, health systems and healthcare partners. Our work centers on collaboration, advocacy and education to strengthen healthcare delivery and improve health outcomes for all Arizonans.

Policy and advocacy
Our 2026 policy framework focuses on five core objectives:
- Financial Security & Access to Care – Protecting hospital stability and ensuring access for vulnerable populations.
- Better Care – Promoting patient-centered policies that improve quality and satisfaction.
- Better Health – Advancing initiatives that improve population health outcomes.
- Improved Value – Supporting sensible policies that reward efficiency and value in healthcare delivery.
- Innovation & Transformation – Helping hospitals adapt to emerging technologies and disruptive care models.
Key initiatives and programs
- Emergency preparedness – Coordinating statewide readiness through AzCHER and supporting hospitals in crisis response planning.
- Healthcare workforce – Strengthening the pipeline of nurses and healthcare professionals through our Arizona Transition to Practice Program and leadership development initiatives.
- Maternal health – Reducing maternal mortality and severe morbidity through programs like AIM and advocacy for extended postpartum coverage.
